Two months after previous episode.
Scene: Shopping Center
The whole gang is out shopping for maternity cloths for Serena.
Mina: This maternity section has a lot of cloths.
Lita: I still cant believe were here.
Raye: Yeah it only seems like a couple weeks not two months since Serena told us about Rini.
Serena: This dress looks good.
Serena holds up a nice looking pink dress.
Amy: That does look good. I didnt know if youd have a real taste for maternity cloths, Serena.
Serena: Well some of these look pretty good and like I have a choice.
Raye: The way Serena ate before the baby shed need maternity before she was pregnant.
Everyone gets sweatdrops and Serena gets mad at Raye.
Amy: Raye, stop getting Serena upset and Serena, calm down.
Lita: Now Raye say youre sorry so Serena will calm down!
Raye: Im sorry Serena. I didnt mean it.
Serena: Oh thanks Raye. Ive gotten so emotional. Man are my hormones screwed up.
Raye: Arent the y normally. Oops! Sorry, I cant help it?
Everyone gets big sweatdrops.
Darien: Its all right Serena. She doesnt mean any of it.
Looks at Raye.
Darien: DO YOU RAYE?
Raye: No I didnt mean any of it.
Mina: Man, Dariens been extra protective of Serena lately because of the baby.
Lita: He cant help it. Its fatherly and husbandly instinct.
Mina holds up a dress.
Mina: Serena, do you like this one?
Serena: Its beautiful. Thanks Mina.
Mina: Youre welcome.
Lita: Hey where are Rini and Amanda?
Amy: They went to another friend named Erics birthday party.
Mina: Rinis been taking this rather coolly.
Darien: She told me shes looking forward to seeing herself if its her.
Lita: What do you mean if its her?
Darien gets small sweatdrops.
Darien: The doctor said it could be either a boy or a girl. Its too early to tell, but from what the doctor says he says it might be a boy.
Mina: Thats a shocker. Maybe youre going to have more children than you thought.
Darien: Maybe so! I wouldnt mind it at all.
Amy: I dont think Serena mind at all shes having a ball buying maternity cloths.
Everyone laughs.
Amy: I think its time to go pick up Rini and Amanda from the party.
Lita: Well lets got then. Well leave them to their shopping.
Scene: Erics Party
Rini: This is one of the best parties that Ive ever been to, Eric.
Eric: Thanks, Rini! (blushes)
Amanda: I love it too.
Eric: Im glad that Rini brought you to the party, Amanda. I hope we can become friends. Rini and me havent been that good of friends so far so maybe you can help, huh?
Amanda: Sounds like fun.
Rini: Wheres my backpack?
Amanda: I think you left it in the livingroom.
The doorbell rings.
Eric: Ill get it. Rini, Amanda! Its Amy and Lita!
Rini: Coming.
Amanda: Thanks for letting me come to your party Eric.
Eric: Im glad you came. See you! Are you still coming over to do the science project tomorrow, Rini?
Rini: Yeah of course.
Eric: Great!
Eric gives her a weird look that no one but Rini notices. Then Eric runs off
Amy: You ready to go girls?
Both: Yep!
Lita: Well lets go. Serena should be through shopping by now.
Scene: Darien and Serenas Apartment
Serena: I love these cloths Darien. Thanks!
Darien: Anything for my meatball head.
Serena: You spoil me!
Darien: I love to.
They kiss and stay that way for a few minutes and then the doorbell rings.
Darien: Ill get it.
Darien answers the door.
Darien: Oh hi Amy, Lita. Come on in. Rini did you have fun at the party with Amanda.
Rini: Yeah it was a blast!
Amanda: Ditto!
Amy: Come on Amanda, its time to go home.
Amanda: Bye Rini.
Rini: Bye Amanda.
Scene: Rinis Room
Rinis writing in her diary. Heres what it says.
Dear diary,
Today I went to Erics birthday party with Amanda. It was so much fun only because Amanda was there. I think that Eric doesnt like me because right before we left he gave me this look and he treats me weird. He is always making fun of my hair.
All of a sudden there is a knock on the door.
Rini: Hold on a minute.
She hides her diary.
Rini: Come on in.
Serena: Hi ya Rini! How ya doing?
Rini: Im fine. The question should be how are you doing?
Serena: Now you dont worry about me. Ill be fine. I want to know how youre doing. You seem really down.
Rini: Im now down Im just confused.
Serena: About what?
Rini: You wouldnt understand.
Serena: Rini, Ive gone through almost everything that you have to go through at your age. So, whatever it is when youre ready to talk to me Ill listen.
Rini: All right.
Serena: Its your bedtime. Want me to tuck you in?
Rini: As long as you promise to read me a story.
Serena: All right. (chuckles)
Serena tucks Rini in and starts to read her a story.
Serena: Once upon a time.
A half-hour later Rini falls asleep and Serena gives her a kiss on the forehead and goes to her and Dariens room.
Serena: Rinis fast asleep.
Darien: I thought youd be in here telling me she wanted me to read her a story.
Serena: Nope she wanted me to read her one and it really surprised me.
Darien: So when do you think the girls will have another meeting.
Serena: I have no clue.
Darien: You look so beautiful tonight.
Serena: Oh Darien!
They kiss.
Darien: Hmm! I enjoyed that.
Serena: Youre not the only one. Ow!
Darien: Are you ok?
Serena: Yeah the baby kicked.
Darien: Can I feel?
Serena: Its your baby to you know.
Darien puts his hand on her stomach and feels the baby kick.
Darien: Wow that is so cool yet weird.
Serena: Why is it weird?
Darien: I just think its weird yet awesome that theres actually a living being inside you.
Serena: You think its weird! Im the one who has the living being in my body. (looks guilty) Im sorry I guess its just another mood swing.
Darien: I know. Anything bad that you say I dont take to heart because I know that its not really you saying that, but the hormones are doing the talking.
Serena: Oh, thank you Darien. I love you, Darien!
Darien: I love you too, my meatball head.
Scene: The next afternoon at Serena and Dariens apartment
Darien is just coming home from work.
Darien: Serena, youll never guess what happened at work today!
Serena: What?
Darien: I got promoted and was given an assignment to work on a movie.
Serena: WOW!
Darien: The problem is that Ill have to go away for a couple weeks.
Serena: To where?
Darien: Rockland, Maine.
Serena: Thats pretty far away. Are you sure that you should leave at a time like this? (looks embarrassed) Um, Well I mean with the new enemy and everything.
Darien: I know itll be hard for you to see me go, but Ill be coming back in a couple weeks. When I come back from my trip we can spend as much time together as possible.
Serena: But Ill still miss you.
Darien: I know Ill call you every night.
Serena: Alright, but Ill miss you.
Darien: Itll be all right. I have to pack right now and leave for the airport so give me a goodbye kiss, hmmm.
They kiss for several minutes and then Serena goes out to meet the girls at Rayes. They had not noticed that Rini had come in and heard the last couple minutes of their conversation.
Rini: Why would Darien be leaving?
Scene: Rinis Room
The phone rings.
Rini: Hello. Oh, hi Amanda.
Amanda: Are you coming to the Scout meeting?
Rini: Oh, no Serena was serious about the meeting this afternoon! I thought that she was joking. Ill be right there! Let them know Ill be late.
Amanda: Dont worry, Ill tell them. Ill see you later. Bye.
Rini: Bye!
Scene: Rini on the way to Rayes House
Rini is half running to Rayes and thinking at the same time.
Rini: (thinking) I wonder where Dariens going and why hes leaving.
Rini was thinking so much and not watching where she was going that she tripped and fell. (Reminds you of someone, huh?)
Rini: Ow!
Eric: Are you ok Rini?
Rini: Hi Eric. I didnt see you slither up. Um I mean come up.
Eric: Hey, Rabbit head! Where you hopping to? Want to work on the science project?
Rini: Thanks, but Im late.
Rini runs off and leaves Eric standing there looking puzzled for some reason.
Rini: (thinking) He is such a jerk!
Looks back.
Rini: (thinking) But hes still kinda cute. Oh no now Im really late!

Scene: Rayes House
Lita: I wonder whats keeping Rini.
Amanda: I called her and she said that she was on her way her.
Amy: If she said she was on her way then shes on her way.
Raye: Amys right cam down guys.
Serena: Hi guys!
All: Hi Serena!
Serena: Have you heard that Darien got promoted?
Raye: Wow! That is so cool.
Lita: He must be pretty happy about that.
Mina: Why are you so down if he got promoted?
Serena: He has to go on a business trip because of the promotion and hell be gone for a couple weeks.
By now Serena is sobbing and the girls get big sweatdrops and then they try to calm her down. Meanwhile, Amanda is sitting on the porch waiting for Rini.
Amanda: Hey, Rini!
All of a sudden another monster tries to grab Amanda and Rini jumps in the way and the monster takes her away.
Amanda: NO! BRING HER BACK!
Everyone comes out into the yard.
Amanda: Its Rini.
Mina: What about her?
Amanda: The monster took her!
Amy: What monster?
Amanda: It looked kinda like one of the monsters that took me.
Serena: NNNNNNNNOOOOOO! She cant be gone.
Raye: Its all right Serena well get her back.
Lita: I wonder why they took her instead of Amanda.
Amanda: She jumped in front of me when it was going to grab me.
Amanda starts to cry along with Serena.
Mina: Dont worry guys well find her.
Both: Promise!
Mina gets a big sweatdrop.
Mina: I promise!
Everyone but Serena goes inside.
Lita: I think that since Dariens away that some one should stay with her.
Mina: Yeah in the condition shes in she shouldnt be left all alone.
Raye: So which one of us should stay with her first?
Amy: Ill do it.
All: Ok!
They all get a picture of Serena snoring above their heads.
Scene: The yard
Amy: Hey Serena, Ill stay with you tonight so you wont be lonely.
Serena: Thanks Amy. You guys are such good friends.
All: We know!
Serena gets a big sweatdrop.
Scene: Serena and Dariens Apartment
Serena: I really appreciate you coming over and staying with me, Amy.
Amy: Oh, I dont mind. Besides youre my friend and I just couldnt let you be alone especially with the baby coming in a few months.
Serena: Do you want to feel the baby kick?
Amy: Are you sure?
Serena: Go on. I dont mind.
Amy puts her hand to Serenas stomach.
Amy: Oh!
Serena: What?
Amy: I felt the baby kick. It was so cool.
Serena: You wouldnt think so if it could keep you up some nights.
Amy: Wow, youve gone through a lot.
Serena: Yeah and I thought that Darien would be there the whole time, but now he has to go away and Rinis gone so Im all alone.
Serena starts to cry.
Amy: Why dont we play some cards or something.
Serena: (sobbingly) I guess.
Serena and Amy start to play cards and the scene fades out with Serena forgetting her troubles and laughing.
