Episode 16 Part 1

Tragedy and Triumph

        Last we saw the scouts they had fallen into one of Birdies traps and gotten into a fight with her after Serena, Rini, Eric transformed.  We find out that Jesse is Sailor Chibi Mars and that Flame Sniper can talk.  When Sailor Chibi Mars used her attack it collided with an attack from Birtie and created a powerful vortex.  The minute the scouts were thrown out of the vortex they were attacked by thugs.  The attack was stopped a mysterious figure and a female cop who called herself Elisa Maza .  When that mysterious figure stepped out of the shadows they found out that it was a gargoyle.  Serena fainted, the others gasped, and Rini thought it was cool.  This where we come in.  How do you know about gargoyles? Elisa asked a bit nervous because of their recent encounter with the Quarrymen.

        Oh, I read about them on the Internet and I thought they were cool. I never thought that Id get to meet one though! Rini explained with excitement.

I didnt know there were any sites on the gargoyles. Elisa said a bit confused.

I can get just about anything on this. Rini stated as she pulled out the palmtop computer that Amy had given her for her birthday.

I saw we have Lex take a look at it. Brooklyn said after thinking a minute.

Yeah, I think your right Brooklyn, but how are we going to get everyone to the tower especially since one of them fainted? Elisa asked after looking at Sailor Moon.

Well, I can carry two and one can hold onto my back while the others ride with you. Suggested Brooklyn.

Yeah, I guess we could do that. Elisa agreed.  Brooklyn picked up Chibi Moon, Chibi Jupiter, and Chibi Mercury grabbed onto his back.  The fainted Sailor Moon, Chibi Mars, Chibi Venus, Chibi Mask, and all the animals got into Elisas car.

When Brooklyn lands on the top of the tower Chibi Jupiter and Chibi Mercury are very shocked to find more of the gargoyles, but Chibi Moon yet again thinks that they are extremely cool.  Brooklyn asks then to hold off on the introductions until Elisa got back with the others that had arrived with the ones he had brought to the tower.  Finally Elisa and the ones that rode in her car got to the tower and carried the still unconscious Serena upstairs where they laid her down on the couch.  When they had her situated they all sat down to talk and introduce everyone.  Im Elisa, the one with his head in the fridge in Broadway, Lexingtons the one staring at your palmtop computer, Hudsons the one in the armchair, the giant beside me is Goliath, Angela, Goliaths daughter is the one on my other side, and you already know Brooklyn. Elisa said as she made the introductions of the gargoyles.  Then there comes a growl from beside the armchair that Hudson is sitting in.  Oh, yes and that guy is Bronx. Elisa stated as Bronx grinned at finally being recognized.

And who might you lasses be? Hudson asked looking at their Sailor Scout uniforms with a confused look.  Thats when Rini finally spoke up.

We are the Chibi Sailor Scouts, we fight for love and justice. She said as she went into her usual pose.

Oh, I heard about them. Angela exclaimed.  They have been in the Japanese papers lately. After her encounter with the gargoyles in Japan, Angela kept watching the papers in Japan just in case they were ever in it.  Ive been watching the papers there on the internet.

Weve been in the paper?! Chibi Venus exclaimed.

Yes, but last I saw they only had reports of four of you. Angela said a bit confused by their increase of people.

Well I just found out that Im a Chibi Scout. Chibi Mars explained.

And you would be? Goliath asked.

I am Sailor Chibi Mars and I amJesse. She said as she powered down and became her normal self.

And Im Sailor Chibi Jupiter as well asCassie. Cassie exclaimed a bit excited at being able to tell someone both her identities.

In scout form I am Sailor Chibi Mercury, but in regular life I am Amanda. She said with a bit of intelligence as she too powered down.

This is so cool. Anyway Im Sailor Chibi Moon and when Im not in scout form my name is Rini. She explained as she detransformed.

I am the Chibi Scout of love, Sailor Chibi Venus and I am also Kristi.

And I am Chibi Tuxedo Mask and also Eric.

The one laying unconscious on the couch is Sailor Moon who is a regular Sailor Scout. Rini said a bit annoyed at her future mother.

Im sure shell be fine. Stated David Xanatos as he walked into the room with his wife Fox and his infant son Alexander who was accompanied by Owen Burnett, who is Xanatos best and most loyal employee with special secret.  If she doesnt awaken within a few hours Ill have one of my best physicians take a look at her. David offered.

I dont think thatll be necessary. Rini said as Sailor Moon started to sit up.

Ugh! I feel like someone beat me with a hammer. She said as she tried to get her bearings.  Where are we? she turned to Rini and asks.

I dont know exactly where we are. Rini said, as Serenas eyes grew wider.

AAAHHH!!! she screamed as she screamed as she once again spotted the gargoyles.  All the girls run up and clamp their hands over her mouth.

Now if we let go will you promise to be quiet so we can explain? Rini asked in an annoyed toned as Sailor Moon nodded her head.  Then they all let go and started to explain how they got here.

Wow! Im sorry I screamed natural reaction and all. Sailor Moon said trying to apologize.

Its alright. Angela replied taking her hands off her ears.  Just try not to do that again please. She said smiling at Sailor Moon.

Oh, I almost forgot. Im Serena. She said as she powered down.

I was just about to asked Goliath to tell us his story. Cassie said with excitement.

Id be delighted to tell all of you our story. Goliath said as a smile broke out on his face.  Then they hear a growling noise and look to Bronx.

It wasnt him. Brooklyn said a bit confused.

Um. It was me. Could we get something to eat. Serena said a bit embarrassed.

Sure follow me. Broadway said as he walked towards the kitchen.  Once they had all eaten a delicious meal made to by Broadway, they headed back to the room they were in.  After were all seated Goliath started the gargoyle's story.

And now here we are. Goliath finished hours later.  Everyone is awed at the story, but then they someone started snoring.  They all looked towards the noise and they find that Serena has fallen asleep and she had a trail of drool hanging out of her mouth.  Now that Im done with our story, we would like to hear yours. Goliath said trying to ignore the noise Serena was making.

Well be glad to tell you our story. Eric said.

As soon we can wake Meatball Head up. Rini said still annoyed with Serena.  Rini plugged Serenas nose by pinching her nose.  Serena awoke sputtering for air.

Why did you do that? Serena yelled as she sat back up and wiped the drool from the side of her face.

They wanted to hear the story of the Moon Kingdom. Amanda explained to Serena.  And youre the one who knows the story the best.

Oh. Serena looks at Goliath very sincerely.

Im sorry for falling asleep.

Its alright lass just tell yer story. Hudson interjected.

Well it all began a thousand years ago during what we called the Silver Millenium because all of the planets were at peace. Serena continues on in her most serious royal voice.

By the end of the story Goliath and Elisa reached for each others hands and looked into each others eyes.  Both agreeing that they would never want that to happen to them.  Then Serena sat straight up.  Do you have some place where we can sleep? she asked to no one in particular.

I will have guest rooms made up immediately. Xanatos said being generous.  He immediately looked to Owen who nodded and left the room.

Could you arrange for there to be two of us to a room? Rini asked hoping she could snuggle with Eric, which at this point was what she desperately needed.

Im sure that can be arranged. Xanatos replied. Will the animals be staying in the rooms?

David, of course they would want their pets with them. Fox told him.

Ill have pet beds put into the rooms as well. Xanatos said as he left the room.

Ill stay with Eric. Rini stated so quickly so as to not let Serena change her mind.

Ill stay with Cassie. Kristi said.

Jesse can stay with me. Amanda stated.  All the girls noticed that Serena had something on her mind and that it was best to leave her alone during times like this.  They also noticed that Rini wanted to be alone with Eric and knew better then to interfere with that.

Where are the animals going to stay? Cassie asked.

Can they stay with us? Lexington asked the girls.

I dont think they would mind that. Serena said as Owen came back to show them to their rooms.  Everyone but Elisa and the gargoyles leave the room.

Once in their room, Rini runs up to Eric who is sitting on the bed.  Eric wraps his arms around her in a tight embrace.  Ive been waiting for you to hold me in your arms for hours. Rini said as she wrapped her arms around him and snuggled closer to him.

You dont hear me objecting to it do you? Eric said snuggling closer to her as well.

Serena seemed a bit out of it after she told the story of her past. I wonder what was bothering her. Rini started to talk to herself.

Im sure shell be fine after she gets some sleep. Eric replied trying to relieve the worry that he felt coming through their link from her.

Yeah, I hope your right. She said worriedly. I guess Ill go get ready for bed. Eric heard as Rini slipped from his arms and walked toward the bathroom.  There she found some night cloths for her and for Eric. These guys think of everything. Rini thought with gratitude. Is it just me or is it cold in here? she called out to Eric as she shivers.

It feels fine to me. Why? Eric called back. Rini, Rini are you okay? he asks when he doesnt get an answer.  He walks over to the bathroom after knocking to see if she would answer.  When he opens the door he finds Rini on the floor shacking.

III dont ffefeel so good. Rini stammered through her shattering teeth.

Hang on Rini Ill get you some help! Eric stated becoming irritated with himself for not noticing her temperature before.

Meanwhile in Serenas room.  Serena had walked into her room and had planned to get ready for bed, but found herself walking towards the bed and sitting on the edge.  As she sits there she starts to think and the events of the day finally catch up to her and she starts to cry.

As Elisa is walking towards the door to the roof she starts to walk past Serenas door and hears some soft crying.  As she walks closer to the door she hears the crying a little bit better and realizes that it was Serena.  I wonder why shes crying. Elisa thought as she knocked on the door to Serenas room.  Serena heard the knock and tried her best to dry her eyes.  Come in Serena said as her voice betrayed the fact that she had been and was still crying.

Hi, are you okay? I heard crying. Elisa said as she studied Serenas face.

No, Im fine. SNIFF! her runny nose giving her away and she started to cry again.

Does this have anything to do with your story?

Well, sort of. Serena said as she continued to cry.  Elisa sat on the edge of the bed with her and hugged her.  Serena turned her head and continued to cry on Elisas shoulder.  Once her crying had finally stopped she looked up at Elisa.  Thank you. Im sorry I got your jacket all wet. Serena said as she noticed the wet spot on Elisas jacket.

Thats alright, itll dry. Now why were you crying. Elisa asked.

Well you remember Endymion from my story. Elisa nodded and Serena continued.  Well he was reborn just as I was and now his name is Darien.

So hes the reason youre crying. Elisa said finally figuring it out.  Serena nodded.

A year before we were sucked here we got married and months later we had a baby girl. They are both at home waiting for me to return with Rini and I dont know if I will ever see them again. Serena replied.

Whats your daughters name? Elisa asked quite interested.

Her name is Rini. Serena said looking at the floor.  Elisa was quite shocked.

But if your daughters name is Rini and shes at home who is the other one? Elisa asked a bit confused.

The Rini you know is from the future as well as her boyfriend and all her friends. Serena looked Elisa right in the eye as she said this.

Wow, and I thought I had a weird life. Elisa told Serena who was no longer crying.  And despite the sad mood she had been in earlier Serena laughed and Elisa joined her glad to have cheered the girl up.

Oh, you havent seen weird until you see what we fight. Serena exclaimed through both their fits of laughter.  Once they had finished laughing Serena turned to Elisa. Thank you for cheering me up.

It was nothing. Elisa said waving her hand.

Meanwhile in Kristi and Cassies room, Cassie had already gotten ready for bed and Kristi was in the bathroom getting ready herself.

Why were we brought here? How can Jesse be a Chibi Scout? And why is it so dang hot in here? Cassie thought as she fought unconsciousness and then fell to the ground.  At that moment Kristi came out of the bathroom.

Cassie! Are you okay? Wake up! Kristi screamed.  Kristis screams brought Jesse and Amanda running into their room.

What happened to Cassie? they both asked.

She just passed out. Kristi said as she went to feel Cassies forehead.  When she did she recoiled her hand.  Shes burning up!

We have to get her some help. Amanda exclaimed as all three of them reached to pick Cassie up.  Then they opened the door and carried her down the hall.

Back in the room they had all talked together, the gargoyles were enjoying Jay, Diana, Skippy, Flame Sniper, and Artemis presence and they were still oblivious to the fact that the animals could talk.  Jay and Diana were playing with Lexingtons tail as he waved it in front of them.  The playing and laughing stops as the girls carry Cassie into the room and they put her down on the couch.  What happened to her? Angela asks getting worried about Cassie because she wasnt waking up.  Just then they hear noises coming from the stairs.  After a few moments Eric came into the room carrying a very unconscious Rini.  Serena and Elisa followed once they had seen Eric carrying Rini down the hall and they too came into the room.

Whats wrong with her? Serena asked her voice full of motherly concern.

Probably the same thing that is wrong with Cassie. Kristi said as she walked over and placed a wet cloth on the pink-haired girls head.  Yep, shes burning up just like Cassie. As Kristi says this Skippy and Diana walk over to the girl they are to protect and lay beside them.

I will do what ever it takes to get her better. Skippy thinks while the others look on worriedly.
