Episode 15

Burning Flame of Hope

        When we last saw our friends they were healing Rini from being turned into wicked Lady.  They healed her by using Erics love and the Diana Mind Meld to erase the false memories implanted by Birtie.  At this moment we see how King Sabor is handling yet another failure on Birties part.  YOU WHAT?! King Sabor stood up from his throne and yelled at Birtie who was doing her best not to cringe.

Well I kindasortawell II kinda lost the girl who can turn into Wicked Lady. Birtie said as the fear welled up in her.

You have failed me one to many times, Birtie. Perhaps it is time for you to be replaced. King Sabor calmly stated as she sat back down on his thrown.

No, master please give me one more chance. I will succeed.

Very well, you have one more chance, but if you fail me again

I will not fail. Birtie stated matter-of-factly.

Very well, go and bring me the Chibi Scouts. Said King Sabor as Birtie disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

Master. Came a voice from the shadows.

Patience Jet, your turn will come.

Yes, my master. Jet said calmly .

Meanwhile, we see Rini walking home from school.  She is still feeling very guilty about what she did as Wicked Lady.  I cant believe I hurt them all like that. Especially Eric! she continues to think as she walks down the street that leads to Rayes temple.  As she walks she doesnt notice that Eric is walking right towards her.  He doesnt notice either because he is reading a book for English class called A Midsummer Nights Dream.  Just as he was getting into the book he felt someone slam into him.  As Rini slams into someone she mumbles an apology and continues to walk down the street.  Eric looks up from his book and notices that it was Rini who bumped into him.

Hey rabbit head! he exclaimed as she turned around. What no tackle hug? he says chuckling.  As he says that Rini realizes who she ran into and breaks out into a run right at Eric.

Oof! Now thats more like my rabbit head. Eric says as he smiles down at the love of his life.

I didnt know it was you. Rini says as she smiles up at hi.  She starts to blush when she realizes the look hes giving her.  They lean towards each other until they kiss.  Once the kiss is over, Eric notices that Rini has an odd look on her face and through their mental link he received an immense feeling of misery irradiate from her psyche.  He then made a mental note to talk to the other girls.  Meanwhile he was going to enjoy being with her despite what was bothering her.

So what are you up to? he asked after she recovered from the kiss.

Well, Im supposed to meet Raye at the temple.

Why would she want you to come there after school?

She said she wanted me to meet someone. Rini said as they continued to walk to the temple.

As they get to the temple a red, orange, pink, and yellow cockatoo flies past them.  Here Flame! cried a brown and black haired girl in a temple uniform.  The bird flew to that girl and rubbed its head against the girls cheek.  Rini thought that was adorable and walked up to the girl.

Excuse me, do you know where I can find Raye Hino?

Yes, Ill go get her for you. The girl said politely.

No need Jesse, Im right here. Raye said after she came out of the main temple building.  Hi Rini. Oh, hi Eric. Rini, I asked you to come here to come meet Jesse. Jesse, this is Rini, the cousin of one of my best friends.  And this is her boyfriend, Eric. Rini, this is Jesse, priestess in training and anew student at the Junior High you go to. Rini stepped forward.

Pleased to meet you, Jesse. Id be glad to show you around the school on Monday. Rini said as she smiles at the new friend she just made.  And Eric smiles as he feels her usual aura of happiness radiate from her once again. 

Me and my friends are meeting at my house when Im done here. Would you like to come? Eric asked since he knew it would please Rini.

If its alright with Raye, Jesse said looking up at Raye.

Sure you can go. Raye said grinning.

Cool, Ill go change. Can you hold Flame Sniper for a minute, Raye? Jesse hands Flame Sniper to Raye and runs to her room to change.  When shes done, she runs back outside, takes Flame Sniper from Raye, puts him on her shoulder, and starts walking home with her new friend.

When they get to Amys apartment Cassie, Amanda, and Kristi are waiting for Rini and they meet her at the door.

Where have you been Rini? Kristi asked putting her hands on her hips and narrowing her eyes a bit.

Raye asked me to come over and meet someone. Rini explained to her friends.

Who did she want you to meet? asked Cassie.

I believe Raye wanted her to meet me. Jesse said stepping out of the doorway.

And you are? asked Amanda.

I am Jesse, priestess in training under Raye Hino and her grandfather. Jesse said bowing a bit.

Wow cool! exclaimed Cassie. Why does this girl seem so familiar to me? she thought as she looked at the new girl. And that bird seems familiar as well. Ill have to keep an eye on this girl.

Hey did you guys hear about the new fun house downtown? Amanda asked extremely excited. If you bring a pet you can get in free. She added with enthusiasm. Whats even better is they dont let anyone over seventeen in.

So if I bring Diana, Cassie brings Skippy, Amanda brings Jay, and Jesse brings Flame Sniper; the only two who will have to pay are Eric and Kristi. Rini said stating her thoughts out loud.

Well, we could ask Mina and Serena if we could take Luna and Artemis. Suggested Eric.

Artemis could go, but Luna wanted to stay with Serena. Said Amanda.  I asked them earlier. She added when everyone stared at her.

So now Kristi can take Artemis and Ill pay my own way. Eric stated with finality.

Well lets go ask our parents/guardians etc. so we can go tomorrow. Exclaimed Rini with as much excitement as Amanda had telling them about it.

Now Rini is finally on her way home and she is again feeling guilty about what she did as Wicked Lady.  Then she thought about the new friend she had made.  When she was around her she got a weird feeling of deja vu when she was around Jesse.  She was also excited about the outing with her friends.  As she walked through the door to the apartment she decided to go straight to them and ask if she could go and then pack her small bag with a few essentials.  Hello, is anyone home? Rini yelled through the apartment.

Were in the living room Rini. Serena yelled softly so as not to wake the baby.  So how was your day? Serena asked softly.

I met a new friend today. And were going to include her in a group outing tomorrow if I can go. Rini answered.

Where do you guys want to go? Darien asked.

There is a new fun house downtown that you can get into free if you bring your pet. Rini answered unsure if they would let her go.

Well as long as Luna or Artemis go I dont see any problem with you going. Darien said calmly and then looking to Serena to see if see thought it was okay.

If your father says its alright then you can go as long as you stay with Eric.

How did you know he was coming? Rini asked.

When doesnt he go just about everywhere with you? Serena and Darien say together just a bit to loud and little Rini starts to cry.

Oh, no! they yet again say together and they both get sweatdrops.  Rini chuckles and leaves her future parents to deal with her younger self.  She then ran to her room, grabbed her favorite small bag, and began putting some essentials into it.

The next day Rini called all her friends to see if they could go too.  They were all told that they could go.  They planned to meet outside the funhouse that evening.  Eric insisted on picking Rini up at her apartment.  That evening Rini is getting ready.  Serena, Im ready to go. Rini called through the apartment.

Hold on one minute. Serena said as the doorbell rings.

Ill get the door. Rini said as she opened the door.  When she opens the door she finds Eric.

ERIC! she yells as she goes for her usual tackle hug.

Hey rabbit head. He said as he hugged her.  Serena walks into the room as Rini turns around and Rini nearly faints.

What happened?! Rini yells, as she gets over the shock of seeing her future mother looking her and Erics age.

Well, I wanted to get out so Darien said he would watch the baby.  So I used the disguise pen to make myself look your age.  Dont worry, Im bringing the disguise pen so I can change back right after we finish. Serena said as she smiled at her future daughter and her boyfriend.

Alright, hurry up or well be late. Rini said a bit annoyed.

As they arrived at the funhouse, Cassie, Amanda, and Kristi were waiting outside with Skippy, Jay, and Artemis.  When Rini walked up to them they seemed to be in a trance.  Come on guys, enough with the joke.  Rini said a little annoyed.  They completely ignore her and start to walk inside.  Eric felt very a very strange, eerie feeling.

Shouldnt we wait for Jesse? he said as Rini began to follow them.  Rini stops to think.  She then takes her pack off her back, takes out a piece of paper, quickly scribbles a note, puts it under Dianas collar, tells her to stay and give it to Jesse, and runs after her other friends as her boyfriend and future mother follow her.

As they go inside the doors slam behind them and they realize its a trap.  Look out Rini! the real Cassie yells from her place on the wall where she was tied up.  Just then a pendulum swings down and just barely misses hitting the three that had just walked through the door.

I think its time to transform guys. Serena says as her disguise melts away.

MOON CRYSTAL POWER!

MOON PRISM POWER!  Serena and Rini scream and grab their lockets as Eric pulls out a white rose and transforms into Chibi Tuxedo Mask.

I knew the Chibi Scouts would appear sooner or later if I waited patiently. Birtie said as she appeared in her trademark cloud of smoke.

Meanwhile outside, Jesse is finally arriving with Flame Sniper.  Diana runs up to her and rubs her legs to get her attention.  Jesse looks down and notices the note under Dianas collar.  She started to read the note after freeing it from the collar.  This is what it said

Dear Jesse,

We wanted to wait, but we had to go find the others inside.  Go ahead and come in.  We shouldnt be that hard to find.

Well, I guess Ill go find them.  Come on Diana. Diana hops into her arms and Jesse runs inside.

Meanwhile inside the funhouse, Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon have been captured and Chibi Tuxedo Mask is dodging swinging blades that are coming from the ceiling.  Just then Jesse walks in just in time to see a blade hit Chibi Tuxedo Mask in the shoulder.  Diana jumps from her arms and runs to Sailor Chibi Moon.

The Sailor Scouts?!  I just thought that they were a myth! Jesse exclaimed in shock.

They are anything but a myth. Came an unfamiliar voice from Jesses shoulder Flame Sniper flew off her shoulder and perched on a pipe in front of her.  Not only are they not a myth they are the champions of love and justice and you are one of them! Flame Sniper yelled.  He then folds and unfolds his wings to reveal a wand that looks remarkably like Sailor Mars first wand.

Whats that? Jesse asked a bit scared of all that was happening to her so quickly.

Thats your transformation wand, Jesse.  Flame Sniper told her.  You must assume the role of Sailor Chibi Mars and save your friends.

But why me?

Because you are the future Princess of Mars.

Shes what?! the others exclaimed from their places on the wall.

Jesse, take the wand and yell Chibi Mars Power. Flame Sniper ordered.  Jesse grabbed the wand just as they had to dodge a blast from Birtie.

I dont care who she is.  She will not ruin this. Cried Birtie as she sent out more blasts that Jesse dodged.

CHIBI MARS POWER! Jesse yells sick of dodging Birties blasts.  When she was finished transforming her Sailor Suit looked almost exactly like Sailor Mars.  When she got over the shock she used her new power.  FLAMING METEOR SMASH!  At the same moment Birtie sent out another blast and when the blasts collided a vortex formed.  That vortex was so strong that it ripped the others out of their bindings.  Once they were free of their bindings the ones that werent transformed did transform so they could fight the vortex easier.

CHIBI MERCURY POWER!

CHIBI VENUS POWER!

CHIBI JUPITER POWER!  When they were done transforming they tried to push back the vortex, but it was too strong even with their combined power they were sucked into the vortex.  After the scouts and all the animals were sucked in the vortex it closed.

When the vortex reopened it dumped everyone out into a strange city.  When everyone had righted themselves they took a good look at where the vortex had dropped them.  It was night here and at home a new day was dawning.  Sailor Chibi Moon took a step forward and they were immediately surrounded by thugs.  Look at the little girls playing super hero. One of them called.

We are the champions of love and omf! Chibi Moon yelled as a huge figure shot past her and knocked her back.  The other scouts just stood and stared as one by one the thugs were taken down by this mysterious figure.  Once they had all been taken down and tied together someone walked into the alley.

Who are you? yelled Sailor Moon.

Elisa Maza, NYPD. Were you the ones they attacked? the woman asked seeming genuinely concerned.

Yes we just got here. Amanda started to explain and then she realized Jay was missing.  Wheres Jay?

I saw a group of animals crawl under that dumpster. Came a voice from the shadows.  Sailor Chibi Mars whistles beautifully and Flame Sniper comes to her.

Do you have any where to stay? the voice came again.

Wait a minute whos that in he shadows over there! exclaimed Cassie as she finally noticed where the voice was coming from.

Thats just one of my friends.  Come on out Brooklyn. Elisa said very calmly.  Brooklyn slowly walked into the light and the entire group gasps and Serena faints.

Wow!  Cool!  A gargoyle! Rini exclaims.
