Lonely Heart of Fire Learns to Love

When we last left our friends they were just about all in Serena and Dariens bedroom. Rini was unconscious and lying on the bed next to Mina who is now weeping after a beam of orange light went from Kristys sign of Venus to Minas. And the story continues
Amy: Mina, what did you see?
Mina: Itwasjust so horrible.
Serena: Its okay Mina you can tell us when youre ready.
Serena walks over to Mina and gives her a hug.
Mina: Thanks Serena.
Mina continues to sob and then she finally stops and calms down just in time to see Rini come to.
Rini: Hmm, what happened?
Eric: Rini! Youre okay!
Eric runs over to Rini and gives her a tender kiss right smack dab on the lips.
Rini: Wow! What did I do to deserve that?
Eric: Youre you and youre okay, thats all the reason I need.
They then realize that there are other people in the room and they blush a deep red. Then Lita sticks her head in the door.
Lita: Are you guys ready?
Rini: Ready for what?
Serena: You sit right here until we tell you to come out of the room.
Rini: All right. (thinking) I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that no one would come over today.
Everyone leaves the room, but Rini and she waits for them to call her out of the room. A few minutes later
Darien: Okay squirt you can come out now.
Rini walks out of the room and the lights are out.
Rini: Its so dark out here where is everyone?
Suddenly the lights come on and everyone jumps out from where they were hiding.
All: Surprise Rini!
Rini just stands there with her mouth hanging open. Then Eric walks up to her.
Eric: Happy Birthday my love. You might want to shut your mouth if youre going to let me kiss you.
She shuts her mouth and he leans over and whispers in her ear.
Eric: That is unless you want a French kiss.
Rini blushes and Eric kisses her for several minutes. After the kiss Rini is severely dazed (whoop, whoop warning, Serena trait!) and Eric helps her to a chair. Darien gets a little worried and to calm him Serena says
Serena: You always have and always will have the same effect on me and thats how I can tell they are really in love so calm down or youll ruin her party.
Darien: Thanks, Youre right my meatball head.
Serena sticks her tongue out playfully at the use of the nickname and they go back to watching their daughters surprised reaction.
Rini: Is this why you guys wouldnt come over today when I asked you to?
Trio: Yep!
Eric: These are for you.
He hands her three presents.
Rini: Why three?
Eric: Look at the cards.
One card said Rini; another said Chibi Moon, and the last said Princess Serenity.
Rini: Oh Eric.
Rini jumps up and gives Eric a hug. Just then Serena is whispering in Dariens ear.
Serena: Didnt you do something similar once for me?
Darien: Where do you think he got the idea?
Serena: Oh you!
They both laugh and turn back to watch their daughter open her presents. The first of Erics presents to Rini is a CD she had been wanting for months.
Rini: Its the one I showed mom in the store.
The next present is a ring with a white rose on it.
Rini: I love it Eric and I will keep it with me always.
She opened the next one and gasped.
Amanda: What is it?
Rini holds up a bracelet with the sign of mercury and a crescent moon joined together on it.
Rini: Its beautiful.
Eric: I had it special ordered just for you.
Rini: I love it, thank you.
She leans over to Cassie, Kristy, and Amanda and whispers
Rini: Its beautiful isnt it.
The next gift was from Lita. It was a coupon for five home cooked meals just for Rini and Eric made especially by Lita.
Rini: Thanks Lita I sure love your cooking.
Lita: Doesnt everybody?
Everyone laughs and then watches as Rini opens the next present. The next one is from Mina.
Mina: I thought that you might want something to write about your dates with Eric in.
Rini opens it and its a diary with hearts all over it.
Rini: Thanks Mina and this doesnt give you a right to read it, Luna.
Luna blushes.
Luna: Who me?
Rini opens the next present and its from Amy. Rini opens it and finds it to be a mini computer.
Amy: I thought that youd get more use out of that then Serena would and its pretty powerful just not as powerful as mine.
Rini: Thanks Amy. I love it.
The next present she opens is from Serena and Darien. Rini opens it and gasps loudly. She pulls it out of the box and its a star locket identical to the one that Serena has around her neck.
Rini: But but I thought that youd never get rid of this.
Serena: I havent.
She pulls hers out her locket.
Serena: I had a jeweler replicate it. It plays the music and everything.
Rini: Oh thank you mom, dad!
Rini runs over and grabs them both in a hug.
Both: Youre welcome sweetie.
Rini goes back to opening her presents and the next one is from Raye.
Raye: I got you something that I thought youd like.
Rini opens it and its a temple robe set.
Rini: Ive always wanted one of these!
Raye: (slightly down heartily) Im glad you like it.
Raye breaks out in a small smile when Rini jumps up and hugs her. Serena notices the look and decides to give Raye her surprise early. Serena walks out into the hall and comes back a few minutes later and Rini is done opening gifts. Serena walks into the middle of the room.
Serena: We all know that its not Rayes birthday, but us girls have a surprise for her. Come on in.
Raye doesnt bother looking until she hears the familiar voice that she hadnt heard in months.
Chad: Why so downhearted?
Raye: CHAD!
Chad: Hey Raye!
Raye runs up and grabs Chad in a big hug and the girls all giggle. Raye blushes and lets go of Chad.
Raye: What are you doing back?
Chad: I finished school early and decided to come back to live in the temple if youll have me.
Raye: Of course I will.
Scene: Rayes Temple
Raye: Heres your room. Its the same room you were in last time you were here.
Chad: Thanks Raye! I um well I missed you Raye.
Raye: I missed you too Chad.
Raye looks down and then said
Raye: Id better go tell Grandpa that youre back again.
Raye runs off to tell Grandpa.
Chad: (thinking) I wish she would see that I love her. If she doesnt soon Im going to do something about it.
Scene: Rayes room
Raye: (thinking) I wonder why Chad really came back. I know for a fact that his school has been out for a week now. I guess Im glad that hes back. Now I wont feel so alone. What am I saying? Im not alone I have grandpa and my friends. I wonder where I got that thought.
Grandpa: Raye! Have you done your chores yet?
Raye: I was just about to!
Grandpa: Just remember that even thought Chad is back that doesnt mean you can slack off on your chores.
Raye: I know! UUUUHHHGGGGG!
She mumbles something under her breath.
Raye: Mr. High and mightythinks he knows everything! (thinking) That doesnt mean I cant think about Chad while I do my chores though.
Raye runs out of her room to do her chores.
Scene: Serena and Dariens Apartment
Everyone except for Eric had gone home and Serena and Darien were cleaning up the living room while Rini showed Eric the view from the balcony.
Rini: I loved my presents.
Eric: I just knew that you would.
Rini stands right by the railing and Eric walks up behind her and wraps his arms around her waist while they watch the sunset. Rini leans back into his chest and sighs a contented sigh.
Eric: Anything wrong my love?
Rini: No, I was just thinking.
Eric: And what would that be about?
Rini: How much I love you.
Eric: And did you come to a conclusion?
Rini: Yep!
Eric: And?
Rini: I figured that I love you more than anything and more than words can express.
Eric: Funny
Rini: Whats funny?
Eric: I feel the same way.
He dips her and slowly leans in for a kiss and when their lips meet it is in a very tender yet passionate kiss. When they finally break apart Rini looks around and Eric gets confused and asks
Eric: Whats wrong?
Rini: I was just wondering if you can pack that much into a kiss shouldnt there at least be singe marks around here some where?
Eric laughs and so does Rini and he kisses her lightly on the lips and then they hear someone clear their throat. They look over and see Serena.
Serena: If you two want to live to see your next date better not let Darien catch you like that.
Rini: Thanks mom.
Serena: Your welcome. Come on Eric its time for you to go home.
Serena leans over and whispers something into Erics ear. Eric gets a huge smile on his face and both Rini and Eric walk to the door. When they reach the door they turn to each other.
Eric: Ill see you tomorrow my rabbit head.
Rini sticks her tongue out and Eric leans over and whispers something in her ear and Rini pulls in her tongue and Eric kisses her and goes home.
Serena: What did he say?
Rini: Nothing.
Rini runs into her room and shuts the door. She hops on her bed and begins to use the present Mina gave her. She begins writing in the diary and this is what it says.
Dear Diary,
Today was so much fun. All of my friends were here for a birthday party that my parents threw for me. I got three presents from Eric. He is so cute and all mine. Im so glad I have him. When I stuck my tongue out at him tonight he leaned over and whispered that unless my tongue ended up in his mouth that I shouldnt stick it out at him. Raye seemed so down today except for when mommy surprised her with Chad. Chad makes Raye so happy. Its just like whats between me and Eric and mommy and daddy. Its getting late so Ill write again tomorrow after I see Eric.
Scene: Rayes Room
Raye: (thinking) I wonder why he came back. I dont know why he did hell probably just leave again and break my heart. What am I saying? I dont love him! Or do I? This is so confusing.
Raye turns out the lights and gets ready for bed.
Scene: The next morning at the temple
Raye gets up and puts on her temple robes. She goes to open her door and she finds an envelope right outside her door.
Raye: Whats this?
Raye opens the envelope and gasps at what she sees. This is what the letter says.
Dear Raye,
I hope you realize that I love you with all of my heart and that I would never leave you again. The reason I left before was because I was afraid that you would reject me and I guess I was right so I wont bug you anymore. I called Darien and so as not to cause you so much pain Im going to stay with him. I just wanted to let you know that I love you with all my heart and always will.
Love,
Chad
Rayes jaw dropped and she was very confused inside.
Raye: (thinking) He loves me I cant believe it, but yet I do and it feels great.
She puts the letter into a box in her room so her grandfather wouldnt read it and ran from the temple after putting on some regular clothes.
Scene: Chad walking to Dariens
When Chad was walking down the street to Dariens Rini came walking down the same street.
Chad: Hey there Rini.
Rini: Hey Chad wheres Raye?
Chad: Shes at the temple.
Rini: Oh, I thought shed be with you.
Chad: (thinking) Is it that obvious that I love her?
Rini: Hello earth to Chad.
Chad: Sorry Rini I was thinking.
Rini: About Raye?
Chad: Is it that obvious?
Rini nods her head and Chad blushes. At that exact moment Raye is catching up with Chad and a Droido swoops down and grabs Chad and Rini.
Rini: Help!
Raye: NNNNOOOO!!!!
Raye falls down to her knees and then she gains control of herself and pulls out her communicator.
Raye: Guys, we need scouts pronto.
Serena: Why?
Raye: A Droido just grabbed Rini and Chad.
Lita: Well be there as soon as we can.
Mina: Ditto.
Amy: Ill be there as soon as I can.
Serena: Ill tell Darien.
Darien: No need Artemis gave me a communicator remember.
Serena: Oh, yeah!
Raye: Just hurry. (thinking) I wont lose Chad again.
Scene: An old abandoned Warehouse
Rini: Let me go!
Droido: No chance!
Chad: Its okay Rini Ill get us out of this.
Rini: (thinking) Wheres Eric he should be here by now?
Scene: Erics House
Eric was sitting on his bed reading and all of a sudden he feels immense pain.
Eric: Ahh! Rinis in trouble.
He transforms into Chibi Tuxedo Mask and jumps out his window onto the nearest rooftop and heads to where Rini is.
Scene: The Warehouse
Droido: Mistress Birtie I have captured the girl that is friends with the Chibi Scouts.
Birtie: Good job Droido. I must be going to see King Sabor.
Droido: Yes, Mistress.
Scene: Right outside the Warehouse
CMask: I cant wait for the scouts. Theyre taking too long. Ill just have to go in by myself.
CMercury: Wait well join you.
CMask: Huh?
Chibi Tuxedo Mask looks behind him and there stands the Chibi Scouts.
CJupiter: Well go together.
They all rush into the warehouse.
Droido: Just the people I was waiting for, the Chibi Scouts.
CVenus: Let them go! I am Sailor Chibi Venus protector of those in love and all that involves love and the planet of love, Venus and in the name of Venus I will punish you.
CJupiter: I am Sailor Chibi Jupiter and I will fry you to a crisp if you dont let my friends go now. I am the protector of all those associated with Crystal Tokyo and Jupiter. In the name of Jupiter I will punish you.
CMercury: And I am Sailor Chibi Mercury. Ice may be cold, but your heart is colder. I will not let you torment those in love and my friends in the name of Mercury I will punish you.
Droido: Lets see you try.
While the Chibi Scouts were distracting Droido Chibi Tuxedo Mask sneaked over to Rini and Chad and untied them.
Rini: Chibi Tuxedo Mask!
Rini grabs him in a hug.
CMask: I think youd better transform.
Rini: Right.
Chad: What do you mean transform?
Rini: Ill explain later. MOON PRISM POWER!
Chads jaw drops and he stands there dumbfounded. At this moment the other Scouts arrive.
Mars: Let them go Nega sleaze.
Droido: Not on your life.
Mars: Have it your way.
Venus: Do you think we should help?
Jupiter, Mercury, and Moon look at Mars face and then back to Mina.
Trio: Nope.
Mars: MARS FIREBIRD STRIKE!
The fire hits Droido head on and destroys it.
Mars: Man that felt good.
Chad looks at Sailor Mars with a look of recognition on his face.
Chad: Raye?
Mars: How could you tell?
Chad: It was the look in your eyes.
All: Awww!
Mars: Be quiet!
Everyone immediately is quiet.
Mercury: I think we should go somewhere else and explain this to Chad.
Everyone had to agree with that mainly because no one else at that point could think of a better idea.
